Atlanta Falcons Bring Girls Flag Football to 20 High Schools in Alabama

The Atlanta Falcons, our NFL team, reveals that they are awarding 20 high schools in Alabama with grants from the Arthur M.  Blank Family Foundation to get introduced to girls football programs today. With this announcement the Falcons make their intensions pretty clear: they will persistently work to give the young ladies the opportunity to launch their own girls' flag football programs. 
 
Being the leader of the initiative, the Falcons pushed through the passage of legislation declaring girls' flag football as an official sport in Georgia, a milestone that makes the state the fourth to clearly spell out its stand on issues concerning girls' sports in high school. Furthermore, the Falcons went on to work in hand, with the RCX Sports company and the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) and their pilot program started to introduce girls' flag football in the year 2021. Now in the upcoming season of 2024-25 academic year, the AHSAA has provided sanction to girls' flag football as an official high school sport that will mark a historic moment in Alabama's sporting history. The state now aims to equip 112 high school teams with the wonderful programs developed by "On the Field" Project.  These programs have given students-athletes a chance to shine. Further, Falcons that 42 high schools in Georgia and 12 schools in Montana will also receive grants from Arthur M.  Blank Foundation under condition that they implement girls’ flag football projects.
